Exclamation bad coil pack? self diagnostic?

ok newb here...searched FOREVER to find this..no luck...so...

2002 p5 automatic 68000km

CEL came on....engine stutters HEAVILY...feels like a bad col pack [haven't been able to get the code read]

at idle in neutral or park...engine revs fine.....under load though while driving or even putting gas with brakes applied it will stuter/mis heavily....

is this a common problem? what shold i be checking? I checked all coil pack connectors...seemed ok...car didn't get wet....i'm at a loss!

i heard there was a way to check the fault code with a jumper wire in the diagnostic box...but there is no diagram ...so i don't know where #10 and gnd are....is there another way to get it myself ?

help

Get the code read at an Autozone for free---never heard of this other way you speak of...

you can't jump the diagnostic box on a ODB II, you can do that on a ODB I. Get the code read at autozone. If you get the code it will narrow things down, then we offer some more help.
