anthony woodford racing header!

Hey guys, I just got the header and it is amazing. It is a 4-2-1 header which eliminated the first cat. There is NO Check engine light either! I have driven the car 50 miles so far with no problem. and talk about power increase! holy S@#$ A definate recomendation for all.

Phantom Cruiser June-10th-2003 12:23 PM

got pics?

mesx7828 June-10th-2003 12:30 PM

will it fit a pro '99 lx? where did you buy it from?

kelly grencer June-10th-2003 12:54 PM

Yeah I have pics, I will post in the morning. Be prepared to thank god we finally got one! The performance gain is unbelieveable after 4000 rpm. I got it from AWRracing.com. Its listed as a race header, but they finally modified them to include o2 sensor bungs and egr tube. 100% direct hook up!

Ya, I know the feeling! I'm a fucking walking Great Depression right now!

UPSman June-10th-2003 07:50 PM

The only reason why I havent gotten it was because it didn't have the bung for the O2 and the EGR. Now that they do I'll definitely be ordering one.

Question tho...is there a wait to get it? Are they backed-up with the production or do they get it to you fairly quickly?

Ahh finally get to do one of the few remaining mods to my car.

UPSman June-10th-2003 08:30 PM

Ahhh hell I was inspired by the news and called them up.

I just ordered the last one from them...itll be a lil while b4 they have the tubing to produce more accroding to them. YES!!!! Im excited.

That's what they told me this afternoon as well.. I used company phone to phone long distance..HAHA

Were there any problems with the install?
The reason I ask is, I know Mackdaddy had problems lining up the ERG, or the O2 sensor, or something that did'nt quite fit. AWR is sending him another one.
Did you run into any problems like this? His car is an auto. Is your car an auto or stick?

Thanks in advance.

hey og sk8er,

let me know how the install goes and stuff. is it supposed to hook directly up to the second cat? i want to get a header for my car, but i'm afraid of messing with the precat. since it retains all the bungs for the egr and 02 thingamabobers, how do you think it'll do in terms of emissions? i'm headed back to california when i'm done here in tucson and don't want to have to move back car parts. if it passes emissions with no problem, then i'll get it, if not, it looks like i'll have to go with traveler's short header which retains everything.

TIA,

tonka

I will post how the install goes for sure!
As far as the emissions, I'm sure it won't pass somg here in So. Cal. But, smog checks are every five years now instead of every other year. So, in four years I will probably put the stock stuff back on.

sorry, i must have had a major brain fart. i remember now that i have already asked you. oops. sorry about that.

shackmgr6073 June-11th-2003 07:12 PM

How much did this run, and when did they think they would get it back in stock?:yumyum: :yumyum: :yumyum: :yumyum:

Babygirl June-11th-2003 07:45 PM

DAMN you jeremy!! you knew i wanted it and you went and bought the last one!! that is the last time i tell mike what i want!! geeze!!! anyway.. if you dont mind me asking.. how much was it? and did they tell you when they will be in stock again?

Oh and if anyone can tell me if its worth it on an auto tranny?

Oh and does it work on a 2002 es???

UPSman June-11th-2003 08:33 PM

I believe that they said it would be a couple weeks (1-2) b4 they get more tubing to start producing more. The cost is $499 w/out shipping.

Babygirl...I was the one that told Mike about it AFTER I ordered it. Not his fault. It should work on your car. You should get more power out of it whether your car is auto or manual.

macklum June-11th-2003 08:40 PM

As soon as you get it installed ,how about putting it on the dyno . Lets see how much of an increase there is

Macdaddy has the same set of headers and is doing dyno testing as we speek. I'm sure he'll have numbers within the next week. Hopefully by the end of the weekend.

Just thought I'd bring you something to watchout for.

Beleive it or not, the shipping was only, like, $16.00 because it does'nt weigh that much. I'm up from Tony a bit in L.A. About 60 miles or so.

pr5owner June-17th-2003 10:43 AM

how long did the install take? possible to do it yourself in under 3 hours?

ry_clark June-17th-2003 11:29 AM

How many people accually have the header installed and out of those can someone take some pictures for others to see? I would like to see a shot from the under side of the header if possible! (Connection to Cat) Thanks:D
