ES, that may do the trick ~50HP at the flywheel, but not sure about WHP? 2.0L from my old Probe experience doesn't take well to mods, but N2o never fails right?

Phantom...sent you a PM

Yup i was gonna say de same thing... why don't u save a little more and get de turbo... your half way there now

1600 is approx how much it'll cost me in canadian dollars, a stage 1 spool turbo kit is 4200 CAD, a difference of 2600CAD or another

1600 US

thanks for the info, I've got alot of studying to do while I save up money, do i want "go" now? or will I wait...

oh, is corksport the only place to purchase the i/e cams?

$21K? Why didn't you just go for the MSP?

If you add 50bhp you basically get 50whp as well, the gearbox eats a certain percentage of the bhp. Say most 2.0 pro's make around 100whp with a claimed 130bhp. Phantom Cruiser's N/A pro5 makes about 121whp, so about 151bhp. You loose around 15% of the bhp through the drivetrain...

If you are looking for mostly power than torque, your best bet for 50hp would be to remain N/A. Cams, intake, good breathing exhaust (Team Moon maybe), Header, maybe port and polish if done right, and high compression pistons. This accompanyied with a piggyback systems such as an e-manage would yeild good gains for less than a low pressure turbo setup... My main point about all this is you don't need the change all at ounce. These can be done when ever you feel like it in any order more or less (get the ECU upgrade before the high compression pistons). You can get the cams, then later get an exhuast and an intake or whatever. A turbo you basically have to spend the moneyall at once would be a serious investment...

I like that idea, almost what I was looking at doing. Any suggestions on an e-manage? Opinions on going with the bottle? Done the intake and exhaust already, next will be the port and polish, cams will come, possibily custom made ones.

$21K CAD = $13K USD
not bad for a loaded ES with GT package

Lots of info on this board on an E-manage. Run a search. It looks a little misleading at first because the main unit is around $350 but you need a couple hundred dollars worth of harness',software, etc. It will be the most expensive investment for doing some moderate N/A tuning, especially if you do all the engine work on your own. So the most expensive part spent all at once will be around $700, which is expensive, but more manageable it seems for most of us than the full turbo.
