Talking 250-275hp?

Hey wuts up?
I'm saving up now to buy a turbo kit for my protege(dx 2.0) the kit on i think its "turbokits.com" or something like that?..lol

Anyway my question is what realistically would i have to do to get around 250 -275 hp?
how much boost can this motor handle stock?
i think i've read somewhere that some of the MSP guys run 12-13 Lbs of boost daily on the stock internals but i just wasn't sure? if thats the case how much hp does 12 or 13 Lbs of boost equate to genrally?

also if anyone has the kit i'm saving up for when they run the 6psi i think its set at how much power are you putting down?

thanks in advance for any answers, tip's and advice
peace
dante

please dont buy that piece-of-junk turbokit. It is well documented that they are garbage.

if you're looking for 250hp I suggest you check out Wagner Motorsports, HiBoost Turbo's, or wait for my new supercharger kit.

In the meantime you should read up some on how engines work and what exactly a forced induction system can do for you.

I agree with Matty^^---while you are saving up, buy this book:
Maximum Boost by Corky Bell. Read it and learn.

yeah it does well to explain the in's and out's of turbo systems. He also writes a book called "Supercharged" (by Corky Bell)....same thing, good book about superchargers.

i don't like to run more than 10psi on a stock motor that will get you around 200-210hp

...some engine management work is going to be necessary to supply a 275hp engine with enough fuel and a proper spark advance curve.... bolt-ons alone will not get you there.

3rd gen's have PLENTY of spark to run this much power...fuel is lacking though, I do agree with that
