Im not sure what engine the LX is...I need to learn these things! but Intake wise you have the option of an Injen cold air intake for a 1.6L or 2.0L or an AEM short ram for a 1.8 or 2.0L. Exhaust wise, you should be able to go with the Bosal cat back or you can get an exhaust shop to custom fit another system for you (depends if you want to do the work or have someone do it & depends on whether or not you like the bosal system) I can get the bosal cat back or I can get an HKS or Greddy muffler (or a copule others) if they fit your car. Thats more of a preference thing. They are all good. Lowering wise, you can go with an adjustable coil over kit from Ground Control (369.00 & will lower your car from 2" to about 3.5") or H&R lowering springs (I think I sell them for 239.00 & will lower around 1.3" & arent adjustable). From there, you've got plenty of other stuff you can do with a little imagination, some research & a little money. If you want, e-mail me with your engine size & I'll let you know what I've got.

The '99 - '00 Protege DX and LX came with the 1.6L engine. The ES came with the 1.8L. For '01 Mazda changed the 1.8L to the 2.0L and made it an option for the LX model.

Then in that case, I know of the Injen CAI, H&R or Eibach lowering springs & Ground Control Coil overs. We are in the works for a Carbon Fiber hood as well. There is some other stuff too but those are off the top of my head & parts I carry. Well, those & Universal stuff like Denso & NGK Plugs & wires & oil K&N oil & air filters etc.
