Experiences with aftermarket springs

Hello all!

I am about to purchase some springs for my g2, so I wanted to know of you guys who has what kind of springs and so on,,,

98zoomzoom, is that pic of your car the actual height that it gets when using H&R's? I also have 17, but I don't want to lower TOO much...

Anyone with apex, sprint, intrax? Want to share experiences?

hi bruce!

well, what I need to know is, if there is a particular kind of spring or brand that people feel doesn't lower the right amount, if it says 1.3 an it lowers 1, if it is too stiff, noises, ride quality,, you know, general experience...

thanks!

to be honest there is not much difference between them all .. the H&R's are nice springs , Intrax's are cool (tend to sag a bit, but ok) Sprint ( not for 2nd gens , for 1st) BG (there ok )
most springs are decent , but I have yet to get the drop I want aside from when I had the coilovers and the crappy ride.. ewwww

yeah heated, with a torch.
We put the car up on a flatrack and heated up the springs one at atime until they were all the same distance between the wheel and the fender. its perfect
just a little noisy sometimes but I ve got a huge enclosure in my trunk so that might make it worse.

I got Apex... I like'em NOTE: It's a little lower in the back but I also have two 12" subs so that's a little weight.

Like your head and body , bouncing all over the place...
I really don't care for them ,, cause there is a part of the strut that you have to knock off, and when you do this , i think it voids your waranty

ok i thought coil overs would've got rid of that prob. i hate that foolishness, i got some springs on mine that are torched but i still gettin a bouncy head and body and plus the drop doesn't look level, check out the front compare to the back

i need to rectify this prob soon i can't stand the bouncing about.
