as long as we're talking e-brakes, mine seems to nothing at all. On slight hills I can't leave my car in neutral and pull the brake because it will still roll down. By what mean does one tighten theirs?

The drum brakes fade quickly when you play around. Look into replacing them when you tighten the cable

well, this winter I had some, well ok A LOT of fun with the e-brake, and it ended up costing me... my front driver side wheel bearing started coming loose, and so did my passenger side ball joint... all in all, I ended up spending $300+ in getting that stuff taken care of... so if you do plan on having some fun, just do it in moderation...
