Turbo kit 1.5L

Kevin at essential speed will have a turbo kit available for a 1.5L protege! here is what he wrote..


WE HAVE A CUSTOMER WILLING TO LET US USE HIS CAR FOR A TURBO PLATFORM FOR THE 1.5L PROTEGE. CURRENTLY WE HAVE AVAILIABLE:
-HEADER 4-1
-COLD AIR INTAKE
-STRUT BRACES FRONT AND REAR
-BRAIDED BRAKE LINE KITS
-DRILLED ROTORS
-THROTTLE BODY BORING
I HAVEN'T PUT UP THE PICS, BECAUSE SOME PRODUCTS HAVE NOT BEEN FINALIZED OR ARE NOT DONE. BUT THEY ARE ALL AVAILIABLE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WISH TO SETUP A GROUP BUY.
FOR A STAGE 2E TURBO KIT THE PRICE WOULD BE :
2600.00 PLUS SHIPPING FOR 3 OR MORE KITS.

I would be interseted, but I know that Z5 engine is weak as all hell, and I do not feel like blowing it up. I am not as skeptical about Stage 1, because it does not require a FMIC, but for further stages, I doubt FMIC will fit, and the engine will take all that pressure without a failure. I am glad that there is a test bed car, I just want to see what the results are. Thanks.

However, is the header available now? And what about the cat-back exhaust? Thanks.

i've heard they are a great company.... i've heard the 1.5 is actually a good engine... just doesnt put out much power... i'm sure with proper tuning that kit would work.... kdawg is usually their "customer" but in this case i would like ot know who is

Clappy/Tim is the testbed for the 1.5....im the testbed for the 1.8 products
Both turbos will be started in the next 2 weeks!

I guess that depends on who you ask...

Look at the ES kit for the Accent, thats only a 1.6 and it puts out pretty good numbers...

But that 1.6L is Huyndai engine, and I do not think it is even remotely close to BP 1.6L.

I don't know if the engine would crumble with FI, but I constantly beat the hell out of my engine (4K+ RPM's in 1st and 2nd each acceleration) and it hasn't even made a peep.
