Timing belt ADVICE

I am about to replace/adjust the timing belt. However, as fas I remember when I took the valve cover off to paint it, I did see only a chain, not a belt. Do you know whether it need replacement? Weird Haynes manual describe timing belt and I have chain instead...

Very strange. I too have a '96 LX and mine has be belt. Changed it at 65,000 miles and it looked almost new. Gonna wait until 150,000 before I do it again.

In fact there are two. One timing belt for the intake and a timing chain for the exhaust. Thats a very weird engine.
