Whats a good brand of synthetic Manual Trans fluid?? Please don't suggest something like Redline or others that may be outrageously expensive even though they might be the best ones around, I'm not that rich, but I do want to change over to something better.

I know that from experience. I don't plan on getting "joe's brand x synthetic " I was figuring on Castrol, Mobil 1, Valvoline etc....
I just wondered if someone could recommend one that they've had a good experience with or whatever. I know its all personal preference, But if more people recommend one brand over another then I might be inclined to try that one.

i usually use mobil 1. no problems here.

where does the manual trans fluid go? I've been wanting to change mine but not sure what to do.

i know how to drain it but i can't find the speedometer cable to unhook and refill after i drain. Can anyone tell me where to look for it?
