Rust on Header

Ok guys, my header is COVERED with rust all over.
Atleast I think it's rust.
Does anyone know how I can maybe smooth it back out
again? I want it to atleast look half-way decent. If I had to
take it off, would it be a hard job? Any help would be
appreciated.

And if I cant do anything about it, does anyone know
a site I can goto to maybe purchase one?

Thanks

just take the manifold cover off and paint it or something. it covers up virtually every inch of the manifold from the engine compartment view.

if your really worried about a hole or something forming (it is japanese steel, not the best if u live where i do and drive in the winter salt) ebay people sells oem spec manifolds for 89.99 or somethin. they appear to have all of the neccessary plugs for the oxygen sensor and stuff. you could get it powder coater before installation for about 50 bucks and then have a good mechanic install it for about $150 (its a 2 hour job.)

so, 300 bucks to cover some rust. go with the painting the manifold cover option
