I came across this in protegetech.com. I dont know about you guys are going to think about this, but I am REALLY excited about this idea. This is what he had to say...



"If anyone read my more recent post concerning bodykit
concepts, ideas, or parts for any generation, than you know that I have been spending my idle time trying thinking up a new
strategy for an original bodykit for any and all Protege's. Being
that of all the Protege/323/Astina models ever created there are
only a handful of bodykits available (like 10 or so), I really want to source something more for us in terms of bodykit styling. So
today, I came across this offer when I searched for custom kit
manufacturers. Showcarbiz.com has an offer posted for
something available through Bodykits.org, I believe. They make
custom bodykit(s) for any car, in any style you choose. Basically,
you think it, sketch it, draw it, and they build it. Any individual can
design their very own custom unique bodykit, but this is
obviously very pricey. If done as a group buy though, 10 pre-
orders of the same kit for the same make and generation car,
than the entire kit is quoted to be priced for $675 (plus $130 for
shipping). I would assume pricing can vary though, depending
the intricacy or number of parts needed for the given bodykit.
The starter or designer of the kit gets some discount on theirs.
Though this is a company I came across and all, I don't know if I
have the time to get the ball rolling myself to draw anything up or
to organize the buy. That is why I am posting this to you guys,
free for anyone to think something up and organize it, and it
would be theirs to run with, discount in hand. Someone with
some technical or drawing skill would be preferred, as
something needs to be drafted, or at least we would need to give some idea of what style to mirror for the kit. I personally would like to see something in an Evo, Feelz Wide Body, or Blitz style design. I am sure though, that everyone has their own ideas of what would look good. We could use pics of cars that have the bodykit style proposed, have our own sketches, and make a poll of it if things get that far. Alright, will someone bite? Us G2 owners let the initiative fall through in convincing Derek from Mazstyle to fab a front bumper for us, a while back. I would like to see something happen. People can't really complain that
there is nothing out there for our Pro's or that things are too
expensive, if when thing or opportunities come along and all of
us are still sitting on the bench twiddling our thumbs. I have
been a thumb twiddler myself many times, but those were
during my "way too f-ing broke" periods "

SO in other words, if we can get somebody with some kind of artistic ability to lead this "operation" we can create and vote on a body kit to be made to OUR likings, for OUR 2nd gen Pro's. I dont know about y'all but i'm getting fired up ALREADY. What do you guys think about the idea?

I thought for sure someone would be excited about this, considering there are only 2 major kits for our cars. But I guess I thought wrong. If anything will change your mind I think this might be it...

I would be interested, but only thing is I am not the most artistic, howerever , i would llike something like the mazdaspeed kit for the 2nd gen , just with a bit more curves here and there and a slight raise there .. hmmm ... maybe we can try and draw something up and see what happens

Thats what I was thinking Bruce. Even if the kits looked somewhat like the mazdaspeed or erebuni kits it would be worth it because of the pricing. I guess I will try and draw something up and share it with you guys. You guys can do the same.
