Lug bolts.. Lovely
Hey, has anyone had this happen?
These are two of my lug nuts and bolts that snapped or completely stripped off.
I had to remove my wheels (because i cant afford new tires right now) and put my stock ones on. When i did so, i put the "Luck Nut" on the lug bolt.
Needless to say, the lock nuts ruined the bolts, so I spent an hour tonight putting new ones in. While doing so I noticed the rotor plate (the thing under the brake disk, that all the lug bolts go into) had a bolt in it, that had a depression into a tab on part of the axle. We could not figure out a way to remove this rotor plate, so we just found a place with enough clearence.
I guess in short, my question is, how the heck do you get that rotor plate off, and has this happened to anyone? I got new lugs nuts, but they wont fit in my custom wheels, what kind of lock nuts should fit without strtipping my lug bolt?
longwinded.... ohh well
