Foglight wiring

To those of you with aftermarket foglights. I've had mine installed for almost a year with no problems, but the main wire that goes from the switch to the relay, is run from the engine compartment to the fender and in through the door, to the switch. I want to change that and run it through the firewall instead. This was only supposed to be a temporary arrangement last year, but I got side tracked with lots of other crap throughout the year. So I guess the question is, where did you run the wire through the firewall??

i got a '97 Lx, and i had the same touble trying to run my foglights, and my power wire fo my amp. so i day i went on a treasure hunt and found gold... he he he

Easiest way to do it is to jack up the front passangers side, pull the wheel off, then start pulling off the plastic wheel well, you'll see the gommet sitting there, and it comes though right by the fuse box inside the car. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the advice, I actually tried that when I put them in, but it was getting dark and I had some drinkin to do. I also had kinda a bitch getting more than a few of those, whatever the hell they're called, that hold the plastic thing in the wheel well off. So I didn't risk messig with it too much. I'll try that next week cause I got my week break fro school.

i don't know second gens that well, but you might want to look behind the engine towards the back left of the engine and there are some lines running down about halfway on your firewall... you can also reach this in the daylight with a flashlight and reaching under the glovebox and under the dash in the day time, there is a little rubber gasket that you can either cut out or pull out entirely and fish wires through there and then under your console behind the radio to underneath the drivers side portion of your dash... very simple way to get through the firewall, i use it for my 2 amp kits, and my fog lights... works nicely and the only way i get wires from the engine to the interior of my car
