Hey, I'm new to cars and Protege's, and I was wondering if anyone knows of any inexpensive performance parts that would give it a little more power, and if they are fairly easy to install.

Whats your location??
If you're in the U.S. your LX has the 1.5l and therefore yur choices are quite limited.
If you're in Canada, then you've got the 1.8l, and you have a much bigger selection
