hey
i just got my car, but i lost owners manual! im not good at keeping stuff
anywayz how do u know if u have a 1.5L or 1.8L?

if ya reply it would really help alots thanx

the 1.5l has a nice manual tranny though, my buddy still cant figure out why i can keep up with him through 2nd gear when he has 180ish hp.

I am pretty sure the 1.5L is underrated. I bet it's closer to 105 hp.

Interesting...Sometimes manufacturers under rate but I wonder why that would be the case here.
They were already defending their decision to downsize to a 1.5 as their base model engine. If they could have claimed a decrease in size and higher output, I think they would have done it.

I've got a G-tech. I'm going to take some numbers, not because I believe it's 100% accurate but rather it's a good "before and after" measurement tool. I'm doing my 1.8 swap shortly and want to know what kind of an improvement I'm dealing with.

For insurance purposes I assume. I bet a car with under 100 hp is cheaper to insure than one with over.
