slight engine concern

ok, i have a slight engine problem. the car is beginning to have a squeaking noise or something. it always had it but now its alot louder and obvious. i checked the belt and it seems fine; no glazing or wear. but it does sound like it has something wrong with it. would anyone happen to know what could be the problem? if it helps, i have recently been doing alot of city driving, which i have never really done before. that may be one of the factors involved. thanks.

when do you hear it??? I have a squeal at 5000+ rpm's, dunno what it is. Is it constand, or is it on and off. When i warped a rotor, i would get an on and off squeek that would change speed with my speed. I almost thought is way my half-shaft, but one day when i changed my brakes, i noticed that the rotor would rub the break pad while i was changing them.

The noises I'm talking about can be heard at idle or just above.

well yea the noises (pulsating squeaks) for me are at idle and above, even when i drive the car you can somewhat hear it, but mainly at idle, but its freaking me out. it sounds like my engine is about to break or something.
and about the 5000 rpm+ squeak, that happens to me too, but i belive thats a normal thing for mazdas(if its the same thing as what i'm talking about). i even heard it on grand turismo when i played with an RX-7. check for yourself.

now there is another new sound. it happens when rev between 2.5 and 3 rpm only. and its a lound chattering noise that sounds like its coming from around the intake manifold. i have no clue as to what it could be.
