Inner CV Joint

What are the symptoms of a faulty/damaged inner CV Joint?

If I'm not mistaken, for both the inner and outer joints, there should be a very audible clicking noise especially when you corner.

but when you think about it the inner CV Joint only has un upward and downward motion it doesn't go side to side on curves. I'm wondering 'cause when I accelerate there is a big CLICK sound. It sound like when there is play between mechanical teeth. I've checked motor mounts and everything seems OK. I was wondering about a tranny mount but I couldn't find it.

The boots aren't broken and there isn't grease flying all around. Believe me when I tell you I know when an outer CV Joint is broken.
