I have a 1.5 in my 95 and its screwed. i drive down the road and as its trying to accelerate it makes this messed upp puttering noise and moves very slow. i changed all the wires and spark plugs and the distributor cap and its still doing the same thing. Anyone know what the problem could be?

 

Replace the rotor just to eliminate the posibility. I read a few days ago a LOONG post that someone made writing about a problem he had with idle surges and he looked into so many posibilities. Some cost over $200 but before continuing he replaced the rotor and all was fixed.

 

also check your timing....
