Camshaft Regrinds??

i found out the gude makes regrinds for the 1.5L DOHC motor
now i have a few questions about it and I was wondering if anyone can answer them...

if the cam was on new billets, all would be good, but these are regrinds, so what is the fault with regrinds?
do they require sooner valve adjustment?
do they wear quicker??

now if the regrinds were hardwelded, would that be just as good as a brand new billet??

and also, so for some reason a part of my cam journal or a lobe or something is scored, are they going to fix all of that when they do the regrind, so it would be pretty much a new cam, (just a lot more expensive?)
thanks guys

thanks..

but what would be the down side of getting regrinds?
see, i heard that they require adjustment more often...

say the car would have been a race only car, what would be the downside of regrinds?

IMO, regrinds from a reputable place are fine. There are good and bad ways to make them, and since this is still a street car and isnt going to face the extremes that a race engine would, i think youll be fine.
Jesse, what do you mean by saying that the engine isnt going to face the extremes that a race engine would? Would it be safe to autocorss with them?
