I'm still looking for seats ....

I tried to go the MX-3 recaro route, but the two different sets the local yard had shipped here from their other yards were pieces of crap! Then I missed out on the shortest group buy in recorded history for the arospeed seats, even tho I said I was in (guess I asked too many questions or something!). Anyhow, I've seen some nice Miata seats on eBay, but I wonder if they'll fit. I've never taken my seats apart (or any seats for that matter); maybe I'm making more out of this than I need to. Perhaps a lot of seats would fit if I use my rails - I don't know.

i dont beleive they make a rail that would make the conversion, there always the gettho way of doing it but if you get in an accident well it wount only be your pro being writen off besides i could be wrong, maybe there are some custom shops out there that may be able to do it for you, best of luck

It would not be a direct bolt in ,however ,you could make adapters for the Miata seat to fit you 1st gen rails . This would take some work as you will have to raise the seats on the rails .
If you want to do this take your time . I raise MX3 seats when I had my 1st gen .
What I did was remove the rails from the stock seat ,then madde tube spacers and got longer bolts and bolted on the MX3 seats . The Miata could be done the same way .
