Exclamation Ultimate 1st Gen. Spoiler Discussion!!

I've been thinking lately about getting a spoiler again, since it's about time for the yearly summer job to start again. I think we all know that the 1st Gen has no OEM spoiler, (except the Canadian SE's???). I know some of you guys already have, or have had spoilers. I was hoping that when everyone sees this they will post what kind of spoiler they have and where they got it, and how much it cost. And if you don't have a spoiler, possibly some information that you might have run across while looking around. I want to start a master list of spoiler information for myself, and anyone else who might be interested in buying one. Help me out please!!

Thumbs up OEM Spoiler

Hey dude
i bought my ´94 protege with the OEM spoiler...
i think it´s very beautiful, and i like it a lot...the red light on it is the best part, that make the spoiler so more beautiful...
it´s nice because make the rear a little more rounded, makes the rear seems nicer...
like that!

I get some not so good pics of my oem spoiler: http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/nofrypieg...tos.yahoo.com/
Its a 91 GT (canadian model). I think this is the most 'extreme' oem spoiler on the pro's... the newer ones were less curvy and swoopy... hard to see but you can definately tell in person.

With stupid yahoo you can't get the full sized pics... anyone got a better hosting service? Be easier to see what I'm talking about if you take a look at the full sized pics.

ok here goes... i was going to get a spoiler, but i keep arguing and debating with myself over the need, usefulness and asthetic beauty of one, some thing with a body kit.... i probably definately won't get one until after a body kit, just cause that's me..... here's my idea, i'm going to get an aluminum self adjusting spoiler... i've seen them in magazines, i'll look tonight and post tomorrow so you know what magazine and where and junk, the one's i'm looking at are only like $250us

The only major reason to put a spoiler on a FWD protege would be for asthetic purposes. IMHO 'aluminum self adjusting' spoilers are ugly. The car won't benefit from the spoiler, and would just be an eyesore (IMHO). I would reconsider putting one of these on a protege. They are even questionable on sports cars (RWD...). Be aware, you will get people calling you "RICE".

How much do you want for it? I might be interested if you're only asking around $150 U.S. Is that a stock spoiler, or did you purchase it aftermarket? I like the look of it, I'd have to paint it white though....

Hey Matthew, now we are talking!
that spoiler that you are seeling is the one that i have...
i really like those red leds on it, it´s very beautiful...and the best part is that i´ve never seem any of them not working...this leds seems to work for a life!

about the spoiler that you want, maybe it can be interesting in the protegé, but i would think a lot before buying it ´cause it can be just too tall for a protegé, so your car can be uglyier...
i don´t know, try to see it in your car before installing...
good luck!

Papito

That MX6 spoiler you want is expensive. THats the Scorpion if I'm correct.. too big to be the mini-scorpion, I had that priced at Canadian Tire and it was $473.00
I'd rather get two awesome rims for that price.
