well first you have the VERY BEST FRIEND you have in the whole world come over to help you...its VERY important that this person is a really good friend.....then you get a flashlight.....and open your trunk....drag out the water hose and put it in your friends hand.....then trun on the water, NOW give your friend your car keys....YOU climb into the trunk with the flashlight and have your friend start systematically spraying down the trunk area...the rear window area....around the tail lights.....and YOU look for the leak.....once you find it... and this is where the having your VERY BEST FRIEND part comes in.......and its also where you find out if he/she REALLY is your best friend....Yell to them to let you out!! :D

Solved

My trunk leak was a combination of things

1. The body shop that did the work on the car left the trunk open in their yard which in turn filled the trunk with water.

2. The body shop also forgot to tighten down the corner lamps, which caused water to enter the trunk.

Solution : don't go to those assholes ever again and tighten down rear lamp assembly thanks for the input guys.

I now have about 2 inches on water around my spare tire. This is getting crazy!

pull the drain plug. Also check the gaskets around the corner lenses and the trunk latch to see if its closing all the way also check the trunk gasket.

ok, i have this problem right now, just haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. my water is coming in around my tail lights. i guess when the body shop worked on it those $%@#*#(@#$ didn't do something right, damnit, my amp sits where my spare tire used to be, they're lucky i caught it (actually i had carpeting packed in the bottom to help support and protect the amp and it soaked up most of the water :D ) anyways.

sir nuke, it wouldn't have to be your very best friend, just unlatch the seats  lol, then when you need to get out, if they won't let you out, just crawl through the seat :boink: haha

My 91 GT and my bro's 94 DX both get water in the jack compartment. Havent gotten around to figuring it out yet, but first thing I'll check now is the tail light. ;)
