Question Tire Offset Constraints

I was wondering what the minimum and maximum offset would be for our 1st gens without having to bring out the fender?

I'm looking at specs for the Kosei K1 Racing wheel, and they make two sizes of 15's. One is 7", and the other is 8". I would assume the 8" would be too big, but I would like to get a second opinion from someone that knows for a fact whether it is or not too big. If you would like to see the page,
Kosei K1 Racing Product Profile. Offset for the 8" wheel is made in either 12 or 32, compared to the 7", which has a slew of different sizes.
By the way, what's the "P.C.D." stand for in the specs?

Thanks in advance.

I have heard some with 7.5 inch rims complain that they too are to big for the protege. I think that a seven inch wide wheel is pretty much the standard and is a safe bet for a nice fit.

PCD is the pitch circle diameter. It is defined as the diameter of the studs from the center of the wheel.

I cannot speak for the correct offset for a 7 inch wide rim...but my 15*6 have a 45mm offset and that seems to be the max with a 205-50-15 tire.

I have 15 x 7 Enkeis with 33mm offset. with Falken Azenis tires (205/50-15), and in order to fit new tires under the rear fenders, I had to roll them. With the tires worn down, fender clearance is less of a problem. I also didn't have a problem with other tires.

BTW, I have the H&R MX-3 springs, so my car sits pretty low (too low in the front, as the LCAs point up slightly, and I have very little travel).

But, I think that the 15 x 8s might be a little too wide, depending on the tires (but why would you run 8's with 195 tires?).
