Angry taking off door panels/seats?

OK I'm trying to lay some sound deadening mat and take up my carpet but I've run into a couple snags

First off I can't get the door panels off! I got all the screws out but then I figured out it's nearly impossible to take off the window crank...how do you get that stupid thing off?

Second how do you get the rear bolts of the front seats off without breaking the little plastic covers (ie how to take off the plastic covers)? The bolts are REALLY tight as well, better break out the WD40

Last is it even possible to take the carpet out? The bracing around the center console/radio area seems to be welded on and pretty stiff, and the carpet is wrapped around it.

Thanks for any help

I have done all of the things that you're trying to do so I'll give you some tips.......

the doors.............just unscrew all of the screws and pop it out..
you have to push the thing upwards so it comes out........
make sure you pop it out of place before.......when it's starts hanging from the top only just push it up and it should come off..

the seats are very easy.........I don't know why you would need WD40 as I don't think the bolts could be rusted that much.......
after all, they are inside...........
the plastic things in the back gave me some trouble as well....
you don't just pop them out.........look for the small screws.....
push the seat as much as you can forward so you have room in the back to work......

The bracing around the center counsil was a bitch.......I tried to take it out, but it would've been a lot of work so I just cut the carpet around it.......two straight lines and it comes off.......
it's not visible so it doesn't matter and after you put the carpet back it's just as good..........

I hope that helps a bit.......if not, ask and I will make sure I respond if I know the answer to something.....

good luck!

thanks for your tips...
about the door panels, I need to take off the window crank to get off the door panel (I don't have power windows)...I tried yelling at it but that didn't work (that's a joke...its supposed to be funny )
I would probably end up breaking it if I pryed at it with a screwdriver, unless there is a setscrew somewhere???

The bolts on the seats are REALLY torqued down, I would probably have to throw my whole weight into it (I'm a 115lb freak)

and I guess I'm going to go at the carpet with an exacto knife...oh well glue is good!

thanks for your help again I gotta get everything back in it's damn loud with everything out haha

To remove the window crank,There is a c-clip that hold on the crank . the easest way to remove the clip is to use a cloth ,slide the cloth under the crank ,the clip will pop off ,watch it doesn't fly away .It is like a spring .
The other way is to push the door panel in around the center of the crank ,you should see the clip . Pop the clip out with a pick tool ,again watch it doesn't fly away
hope this helps
