Sunroof Swap
Sunroof Swap
Anyone try to replace the steel sunroof in the early P1 (~1990)with a glass one from the later P1 (1993,1994)?
I have a steel one that is starting to show a bit of rust and rather then fix it I wanted to know if the glass one can be dropped in.

I believe the glass sunroofs are not stock. They are probably put in there after damage or rust has consummed the oem metal one. Just my 2 cents.

The reason I asked is that I had a friend a few years ago who had a slightly newer Pro with a factory glass roof (cool sliding sun shade and all). Mind you he wrote it off, I guess I should have bought the roof when I had the chance.
Atila:
The reason the Precidia has the slide out roof is because there is not enough roof length to swollow the entire sunroof.
