stupid simple things

well the day started as my buddy (vormav) coming upto my house with his pro still having himself the cronic stalling and hickup backfire problems

so after a few mins in the house we get to the car and try and start to fix the problem, we focus on the distruibter cap as its been what we think is the cause of backfiring (as so were told)

anywho we get that all aprt clean it up and where planing on swaping it with his good working one out of his donor car, but it ends up having a totally different screw patteren, so we say f-it and get the thing cleaned up and back together think meh maybe it will work after being cleaned up

we try and start it after the work has been done, and nothing she turns but nothing so were like funk!

we rip it apart and cant figure it out, in all the pieces of dist cap we got we forgot to put in one peice (DAMMIT kick in the ***** 1)

again it will no start so we try different possitions on the black thing under the cap, cant remember its name, after fiddling with it and putting it back together, it runs!! but is extremaly boggy
(kick in the ***** 2)

we check it all over and everything is connected correctly and snug
we are stumped

we call for backup, backup arrives, we swap the entire cap and mount from my parts car as it actully fits properly, and bingo bango still same problem (kick in the ***** 3)

we think to ourselves hmmm spark and fire are what we need, we check spark and we got it, ok cool, we check fuel we got pressure to the lines in the engine cool, so we say hmmm what the funk we might as well swap the fuel pump just in case, we do so after fighting the rusted screws

fuel is still same pressure and still pumps fine problem persists (kick in ***** 4)

we change and MAF in thinking computer? we check vacum lines and run over the enitre engine problem still persists
(kick in the ***** 5? whos counting anymore were down for the count)

we check the fuel injection fuse and swap it with a good one, and BAMM vroooom she screams full of life and the muffler lets us know shes alive and kicking

(and thus the biggist kick in the ***** yet)

we all go ah **** stupid simple ****!!

sorry for the lenth but we spend 4 hrs doing this to correct the problem of not starting, and all it was, was a flipping fuse!!!

ahh well live and learn , CHECK THE FUSE!!!!
