I know my car is'nt finished, so it doesn't deserve to be in the top 10 or anything, but it's alot better than most of the cars that are rated higher than me... please help, but be honest.

I had a look at the pics and gave ya a 10. Man, that has got to be the nicest, cleanest 1st gen I've ever seen! That Pakfeifer front clip goes great on the car. Don't pay attention to that other guy's post about a wing. I think it'd compromise the whole clean look of the car to put a wing on.

If anything, I think putting some projector headlamps in would look cool. The big obvious problem is no one makes them so they'd have to be custom fab. I'm trying the same thing on my '94, I just haven't had the time to work on it lately. My idea is to fab a box out of aluminum to fit the space of the old headlamp and cut two holes for the two projector driving lamps and mount them inside the box. I'd have drain holes in the bottom to keep moisture from setting in the box and it'd have to be wired to a separate set of switches than the regular combo switch on the car. I don't know really, electronics isn't my forte, metal fab is.

The main reason I think your car isn't rated that high is it hasn't had much exposure. Only just over 100 people have rated it and so far you have a 9.2 so that's great. But, something I was wondering is: How is a Hyundai in the No. 2 spot?

Thanx guys!

Damn! I was so sure my car would be in the 200s... I jus twanted to be up above 8 at least... When I posted this message, I was at 6... I thought my car was better thanthat, but this?! I'm ecxtatic considering that I don't even have a back bumper or engine mods yet!

Thanks for the luv!

AiR_SiK, soundz like a good idea. I started working on a set of 3.75" driving lights with a fiberglass enclosure... Not ready yet. Aluminum sounds good, but I'm shyte with metal. Lemme know how it works out! BTW, there's a guy on Protegetech that's working on some. Professional fabrication for mass production. Don't know about price. I'm thinking I would prefer glass covered twinlights, though. Like the E36 BMW...

Yeah, the glass covered lights would be pretty pimp too. I forget who it is on here, but someone signature has "poor man's bimmer" on it and that would make that statement so much more true. At least in the looks department.

Your Protegé looks great Bob, and I am proud to say that I gave it a 10. However, I am sorry to say that most people just can't appreciate a Pro like we can. It's a sad truth.

Thanks! I agree, when it comes to the 1st gen Pro, most people don't really like it. Thing is, everyone I know thought my car was ugly, and now it's (according to people I've met...) one of the nicest and most recognizeable cars in my area. I definately did'nt buy my car for looks, but over the first few weeks, I fell in love with it and now I think it's beautiful. I never would have thought I could get it to look like this... Just wait 'till I get my rear bumper finished!
