Unhappy No more zoomzoom!

well crap. yesterday i got a speeding ticket... the worst part- it was my second one in my first year with a license...that means my license is suspended for 6 months! They were both dumb tickets too! The city (Spokane, WA) is just broke and the police have to pay for themselves by giving 3 tickets an hour. Anyway- no more zoomzoom for me! Thanks for listening to me rant. BTW, if you drive through Spokane, be careful!!

I got 4 within a 6 mo. period. 2 in the same week, the other 2 same cop, same road, faster the second time (He was pissed!). I never got my license suspended. Must suck to live in Washington! I don't drive like that anymore though...got too expensive paying the tickets and insurance premiums! (State Farm dropped me )

I live down in the Tri-Cities (Washington State) cops here are fairly reasonable about our driving habits. I've heard that cops in Spokane can be ruthless... it's the Oregon Highway Patrol that I don't get... I mean... so what if I was going 36 MPH over the speed limit? It's soooo boring before the Wash.-Ore. Border That's why I drive very safely anymore... that sucks that you got suspended... seems unreasonable

you really have to watch it, i got slammed in jersey twice in the same night for speeding. 104 in a 55 mph zone, and 45 in a 25, tallyied a little under $300 bucks in tickets. i've also skimmed by two tickets and got citations for 55 in a 40 mph, and 60 in a 35, both of which the cop estimated (didn't catch me on radar, but was damn close on eye-sight alone). i have had multiple stupid accidents and fender benders, plus minor tickets for accessory lighting. i've been driving for 17 months, and needless to say, the last 'driving offense' i had was 7 months ago. i learned the hard way, and now i take it a hell of alot easier on my car and my speed. my insurance needless to say hasn't gone up much, and i have no points on my pa liscence. some get lucky, some are just plain ******* stupid, some just get raped by ******* cops, and some just take a long while to stop and think about the consequences of taking chances and how they drive. me personally, i've been ****** stupid, have gotten raped by cops with tickets, i've been very lucky that i haven't hurt anyone or myself and that my car actually still runs, and i'm just starting to gain a more mature stance on the chances i take. live and learn is the best way to get through life, just do yourself a favor, don't drive on your suspended liscence, you'll loose it for even longer.
peace, hang in there, you win some and lose some, life is a win some game

The only ticket i've ever gotten was when i made an "unsafe u-turn." I hate cops. I've never gotten a speeding ticket...the only time i got pulled over was for that u-turn. That ticket didnt do shyt for me. I still drive the same. I swear, that ticket still pisses me off to this day. Well, I broke the law. And the integrity must be restored to the law by justice. Instilled respect and fear for the law will create law abiding citizens. I'll never stop driving the way I do, and I think cops will always give out tickets whenever they feel like. If you think about it, look at the kind of people that turn into cops...actually i'll stop there.

I've got two 50 in a 35, one 85 in a 65, two accidents, and a failure to maintain control (did a donut on the highway and smashed into the wall in a dodge dakota).

On the firebird formula I was about to buy, the insurance would have been $295/mo. The payments were going to be $160. Needless to say I don't speed as much as I used to. But you'll never stop me from EVER speeding :-)
