mileage

I don't drive any kilometers, but I put in a lot of miles every week.
I live abbout 50 miles (70km) from work and take the Protege about 3 times a week. It isn't used much on weekends, but it gets about 15,000 miles a year now. Right now it has 160,000 miles- that's about 230,000 km. It is running like a top. Went though New Jersey inspection and emissions last week with no problem. I don't expect any major problems for at least the next 40,000 miles.

Generally, a lot of miles on the highway is not a problem for any car. City driving is another matter.

I have ~257000km's on mine. I'm happy with how its running considering the km's on the car, and lack of maintainance by the last owner. (Basically just HLA noise)

BTW I drive max 500km's a week. 3-400km's for a normal week I'd guess.

For those metrically challenged, 1 mile = 1.609 km, or 1 km = 0.621 mile.

So, 50 miles is 80.45 km, and 160k miles is 257,440 km.

Back when I was driving it regularly, I got about 20k miles (32k km) per year, or about 400 miles (640km) a week. Last summer I did 3800 miles in 17 days while on vacation. Most of my mileage now is driving to and from autocrosses, or ~1 mile at a time on course (7500 miles a year, and probably 200 or more runs).

At 180k miles (289,000 km), I'm still on my original clutch, only my third front/second rear set of brakes (lapping on a race track took one set of fronts out in 5 events), and about my 22nd set of tires (only 4 of which were R-compound tires).

monthly/weekly km

You should be fine. I drive around 4-500km / week. It's about 22km from my place to where I work, but most of it is on a main highway. It's got over 220000km already (91 dx). The only repairs I've done are both the front axles, cam/crank seals, timing belt, new front disc brakes, paint job and dash (from theft), and the usual tuneups and oil changes, and valve cover gasket. Now I need a distributor O ring, and now i need to replace the drive belts and alternator belt. I'm also looking at new shocks and springs as well.
