My spark plug popped out?
Question for you. I have a 92 DX. While driving to work this morning, the 2nd spark plug popped out. It's still attached to the wire, only now it's hanging by the exhaust manifold. What gives? Why did it come out? Has this happened to anyone before? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Didn't happen with my protege, but my old Beretta did it. It could have been caused by: your sparkplug wasn't tightened properly and/or your threads are stripped. Either way you're probably going to have to either get your spark plug hole re-threaded (which involves removing the head assembly) or get a heal-a-coil kit.
Might cost around 50-75 bux for a shop to do the heal-a-coil

mine did that on my 323 when i had it, when i accelerated it would sound like it was ticking, i was only drivin on 3 cylinders, all i did was screw it back in, and i done fixed it for free
howeevr if it is because the threads inside the manifold were stripped then they have to thread the whole, not a hard job but pricey, yes evry pricey

It happened to me too. I was driving home one day and it just popped out. I had it checked and they told me nothing was wrong. I guess it was just loose on my part.
I hate a tune-up just in case. Since then it's been fine.

It happened to me in the snow
Mine popped out while I was driving home in the middle of a blizzard. My mechanic said that all the plugs where a littel loose and whoever did the last tune up (Only had the car for 9 months) didn't tighten enough.
