My LX was just totaled!!!
Well, she's dead. My kid was driving down the freeway and got cut off, he's fine, just scared shitless(is dat a 'tater in yer pants boy??). We all know how these cars handle emergency maneuvers, the car immediately went into a spin and punched into a retaining wall, it took out both front and rear ends. He was able to drive it home(a/c still works!!) after the cops finished the report. Fu#$!! That car was awesome too. Well I am officially in the market for an LX 5spd shell to build.

what I meant by the emergency maneuver remark is that the car has a short wheelbase and doesn't respond well to fast inputs, especially since it's not suspension modified.
I saw the LX on Ebay, it's too far away....

sorry to hear about your lx man. i know first hand how wonderful these cars can handle, i was in a near accident myself. stuck on a 4 lane road (undivided) here northeast of philly last summer on a wet night. a drunk driver came up my lane, i swerved out of the way at 60 mph, nearly missed the curb by inches, cut the wheel to the left to regain control.. did a little swerving back and forth till the car hydroplaned into a full 360 to a stop strattling both directions of traffic. needless to say i wasn't hurt, but the car was out two rear struts and a bent rim. wasn't anything bucks county police could do, neither do i think they cared that much. they can handle a crash decently for their size, but running on 14x6's, the grip on the road isn't necessarily that good. good luck on your search, and if you have anything on the interior to part out give me a hollar.
peace and good luck bro

I'm gonna scrounge around and try(pray for me)to find a good LX body that needs an engine and/or tranny. I hate to just walk away from the drivetrain. It has about 143K on it and burns NO oil, new T-belt, exhaust work, struts, New tires, 5 factory alloys, very good interior.
If I decide to sell it, I won't part it out. I don't want to hassle with it. It gets sold in one piece or it will get run through the salvage auction.
