Light covers...custom design...

I was driving on i-4 the other night and ..it must have been a ford taurus or som'thing that past me and it was all done up ..........(taurus' are gay)

but anyway this one was nice and i noticed on the tail-lights they were covered in what looked to be yellow paint, tape, or covers.......i'm not sure........with little mark outs for light to come through.........now i would like to do something like this with my tail lights and head lights.....has anyone here any idea of what i am trying to explain.....???.....

any help would be appreciated

It was most likely vinyl. You can get it in many colors from just about any print/graphics place.

eww

Man that light cover up thing was played out in like 95'..lol....IMO it looks really nasty and cheap...i dont suggest it. I would rather get the JDM headlight conversion or the 94' headlights with the custom hood to give it that "mean" look.

The person who did that car, he bought a "custom headlight" making kit from pep boys i think it was. It has shapes and such, all he did was got some black paint (high temp) and coated the lights, he has close up shots and it doesnt look like its custom, looks factory

everyone has different tastes, and thats ok, but for me, i'm rather glad they don't make stuff like that for our cars, thats just a step backwards in my book.

but hey if your gonna do it, have fun

It's hard to tell how it looks because the pic is too dark. Got a better one ???

and also......why does it have to be high temp paint?????
we are talking about tail lights not the valve cover....

you'd be suprised how warm the lenses can get, not so much out back, but the headlights for sure.

The headlights, yeah. My foglights get extremely hot. I don't know how they haven't melted yet

I have seen and used spray made specially for the tail lights. Nowhere did it say that it was high temp, but you are probably right.
