I'll tell you something, and please, listen to me when I tell you this.

I have a good friend of mine that has a 1994 Civic Hatchback, with a CAI and a turbocharger. He is all the time putting down my car. Telling me its ugly, and that it won't do ****, its not fast, and all this ****. So one day, I told him to put his money where is mouth is, and we raced at the track. Needless to say, with a little 0 to 60 booster in the tank, and high octane gas, plus the help of my old air intake, I not only beat him, but I showed him up in an automatic.

Who cares what people think, its what you think that counts. Do what you want, with the car you want. You need my philosophy on life. Its a simple Eminem Song.

"I JUST DON'T GIVE A ****"

My .02 cents...

By the way, I'd like to talk to you about those lowering springs 1ofdfew......

Ya, i don't care what other people think about my car. I was cruising around last night and some guy in a talon was laughing because I had 17s on my car. So did he, and he wasn't lowered. His talon was fugly, and not really all that original. Talon =

Braden ran a 13.8 in his stripped turboge (which probably didn't weigh much less or more than a stock 323). I'm really thinking now of saving my money for the KL-ZE swap instead of getting new bumpers and painted this summer. I can always make it look nice later, it would be nice to be able to show the cocky bastards (like the one in the talon) what's up. Plus the KL engines sound SOOOOO nice.

But then again, I never really drive fast in it now, and I really enjoy that... So looking better would be sweet, too.... We'll see I suppose I wonder how much it would be for my KL swap for everything I want to do?

Hey oneofdfew, you can either turbo chargeing your motor or do another swap. I personally am saving for the KL-ZE the guys at A-Spec are running 13's with the KL-ZE in the 323. Not only that they're working on a twin turbo kit for the KL.......so if you really want to go all out that would be the way to go. Here's the site http://a-spec.ca/ they're chargeing $3000 American for the swap and labor. Thats where i'm gonna go, the only thing is it's a long drive from New Mexico to Canada.

Oh....and about what other people think....who gives a flying ****.
There are a lot of people here who think that what you have done so far, and what you have planned, is cool, so don't worry about it.

Yeah man I am with these guys,

I think your car is PHATTAH9!!

If you can't tell a 323/Protege is a REBEL's car!!!

It is a great car with great reliability, great engineering, great styling, great personality, great potential.

The civic is for cookie cutter conformists, those guys, not only do they drive the same freakin car they all have the same freakin hair cut clothes shades AND they all swear that they are not GAY!!!

Tell them to SUCK on your tail pipe. Don't let them punk you, turn it around on them and tell them that they have no originality, and if it wasn't for bolt ons they would be driving a grandma's car.

323/protege's have racing heritage civics don't!! Period!!

it wasn't that I had done much to my car, it was just running good that day. His turbocharger is shitty, it was put in really bad, and he's just a dipshit. Plus his little shitty hatch is a SOHC, as opposed to my DOHC. He's only got 97 stock horses, and I think with the turbo maybe 110. Our cars have 127hp? I think I just got lucky mainly.

holy crap !!! thats some phat ****!!! 572 hp 11 sec. car....
dude finally i see something fast from mazda w/ my engine on. Damn! i aint planning on hitting that fast just 14's if that car can handle 572 w/ stock axle then im sure 14's wont hurt my axle.
here's the deal everyday i drive and see civic and look at my like its a piece of ****. I have never been beaten by a civic well not yet. And im not planning on getting beaten by them. ie. on my way to lunch today this guy on a baby blue civic with the biggest body kit and lexus rear lites ive ever seen was tail gating me the whole 2 miles when he can just go to my rite and pass me. so wut i did was moved out of my way and looked at the guy he looked at took off the only thing was i stayed on my second gear which is about 4800 rpm so rite when he took off i was fckin' around w/ him his car wasn't pulling at all. the whole time i was just laughin my *** off while starring at him then i let him eat my dust...by the way the window sticker says " full show" i was like wut is there to show his car was annoying!

That escort does 0-60 in 1.8 seconds? reguardless Your car can be a 12-13 second car all day long. Get a gtx motor upgrade the turbo fuel injectors clutch (Act 6 puk)get a haltech, bigger intercooler. Who cares what they say. even the supercharged gsr ran a low 14

**** what other people think. all that matters is what you like, and what you think is good. ive had more people than you can imagine make fun of my car, only to lose horribly in a race. i dont even have the 1.8l like you. im still running the stock 1.6l 8 valve SOHC with mods and killing certain folks.

i think that if you like your car, you should stick with it until you have the results you want. thats the only way its going to happen.
