well i dont know much about those year cars but i would assume that if your car is a 90 then i would get parts for the 1990 not 91-94 unless that they are the same....wait a second that might all be the same gen..hold on

you car is the same exact thing as a 91 protege, in 1990 they were transfering over to the name PROTEGE. before the 1st gen proteges they were called 323's. the 1990-91 proteges are labled "Protege 323". I actually like the emblem on the back that says that. But you can get 1990 323 or 1991-94 protege parts for ur car. SAME EXACT thing.

Just go with the '91-'94 parts. Some idiot that doesn't know anything about cars came up with those years. But if you bought parts for the '89, they wouldn't work.

FWIW, there are a lot of interchangeable parts between the '90-'94 Protege LX , the '91-'96 Ford Escort GT and LXE (not all years), the '91-?? Mercury Tracer LTS, and even the suspension pieces with the Escort ZX-2.
