Unhappy Hesitation...Just me or did something happen

Seems to me like when I'm in neutral and try to rev me engine, there's been some delay in the time it takes to rev up. I'll mash the gas, hear the intake flap opening, and it won't rev up quickly. Seems like it used to rev up faster

Here's what I've done in the In the last few days:
  • Removed air intake (everything), cleaned it out using degreaser, then ran water through it everywhere. That includes the air flow meter.
  • used a toothbrush and some degreaser to clean the carbonation out of the throttlebody.
  • cleaned the engine parts off using SimpleGreen. I didn't cover the distro caps or anytihng, I just avoided spraying water on them and was pretty sucessful at it
  • changed my idler setting. It was perfect, but once I cleaned the intake out and everyting, it was idling at 2,000 RPM, so I had to loosen it a whole lot to get it back down to 750 RPM

I can think of two things.......
check if there if any water got into the spark plug area....
is there thick smoke coming out of the exhaust when you rev the car ???
also disconnect your battery for a few seconds and then connect it again.......see if that helps.....

are you sure you put everything back the way it was before /?

I've had the intake on for 2 or 3 weeks, it didn't start doing this untillafter I cleaned everything.

check your intake piping for cracks.

There was a crack that was in the pipe that runs under the throttlebody intake at the resonator box, but it don't think I did that when I was taking it out, I think it was already there. Maybe it was me though...
