Thumbs up Hello everyone!! FRMR 1st gen owner

Hey everyone. Recently got back from the Middle East and picked up my new baby, a 2003 GTI 1.8T. Sold my Pro to BigMike, and he's making it even better. Went to the dyno Saturday with my new ride, pulled a 161.4WHP and 176.2 wheel tq run. That works out to roughly 190HP and 207 tq at the crank. Not bad for stock! Anyway, I still remember all my trails and tribulations with the Pro, but I also know a few things about VWs. If anyone has questions on either, my email is turbo20v18@aol or hotmail. Later everyone!

Yea, those GTIs definately put down some nice numbers, especially when you chip them Congrats on the new purchase, I've always liked the GTIs!

Thanks Jess. It was definitely a life/learning experience. One of the most interesting/strick/weird cultures I've ever witnessed.

Welcome back to the motherland Pat!

Nice ride dude! Is that the 337 or is that a different model alltogether?

I don't have pics, but it would be a double take with our new Jetta next to yours...same color

haven't dyno'd it myself, but have seen graphs at 163.5whp for the Jetta 1.8T, stock.

Its just a regular GTI 1.8T (with Leather, 17"s, and Monsoon/moonroof), there is no 337 for 2003. There will be a 20th Anniv. Edition GTI this year, but there are no real details about it yet. Actually, the color is different. GTIs have Silverstone Grey, the same as the Passat. Jettas have Platinum Grey, it's darker and a little more flat than Silverstone. My dad has a Platinum 2003. Good eyes about 337 though. I have a 337 GTI grille badge, so I can see where you got that from!

That's a beautiful car, I didn't see the pics from before. The 337s are nice cars too, but I'd go for the base model and put the extra cash into the suspension and chip... mmmmm... gti!
