Gro - POSSIBLE help for bad synchros
I remember that uhh..."diagram" 'bout swappin your white and blue's trannys....have you done that?...
Well, i've been searching trans oil, and i came across a www.miataforum.com member - bangin'gearz (HAHA) - who used Redline 'superlight' Shockproof oil in his (need a rebuild)trans...and he says its worked great for him...synchro prob TOTALLY went away!
Would be interesting to see if it worked as well for you...
And guys, i've read plenty about using Redline MTL or MT90; but since ATF M-III/Dexron II is recommended, i'm thinkin of usin Redline synthetic ATF. Any thoughts??
BTY, i have NEVER changed my trans fluid!!! I've always wondered 'bout that, but since the glovebox manual didn't have it on the scheduled maintenance, i never did it..... i guess they didn't quite realize how long our bulletproof clutches would last.

The LX also has a larger clutch than the DX (215mm vs 200mm), which might also explain longer life.
Oh, and oil leaks don't count, since your clutch wasn't worn out.
