Cool General info on protege

Greatings from a new member

I am looking to buy an early to mid 90s Protege and wanted to ask you folks what to watch out for. I am looking for good value, including low running costs (frequency of service interval, fuel economy etc) and reliability. I am looking for general information, what I should check (or have checked) are there any model years that were particularly troublesome and so on. Oh another thing, newer owned a Mazda before, this would be my first Mazda so I'd appreciate if you give me some pointers.
