E-brake quick question

ok underneeth the heat shield above the resonator is where all the ebrake cables meet up, my question is this how do you get the lil plate apart to slide in a new cable? or do you even take it appart?

the peice im talkin about has the main cable(center cable) then the left cable on the left and right cable on the right, that lil peice of metal that holds all the cables together is what im talkin about

how do you seperate it to insert a new cable?? (im replacing the center cable that links to the handel)

thanks

well when i was doing my rear disc convertion i had to change my parking brake cable. Anyways 1st thing dont apply ur hand brake (lower it down). The plate that ur talking about has a cable in the middle that goes to the brake handle going insid the car then the end part of that cable has a bolt. Loosen that! then from there u can loosen the rear right/left cables. U CANT JUST REPLACE THE METAL PIECE IT COMES W/ THE CABLE IN THE MIDDLE . THE CABLE IN THE MIDDLE IS ABOUT 10" LONG..
