For the horn going off randomly part I had that problem too. It was the contact pad inside the steering wheel. Unscrew the cover from behind (3 screws on mine). Pull off the cover, unscrew that thingy and replace. It's about $10 for a new one from the dealer.

Had the same thing happen to me, I actually got a nice dent kicked in my car because it was going off and someone wasn't too happy.... *******, I'd saw off their leg if I knew who did it

i say you should re-wire the horn to go off when you push in the lighter, and make the lighter work when you honk. sounds like fun

Chastan's right - the horn pad is a known issue. I saw one for sale on eBay a while back, you might want to check there.

You can get it from the dealer for about $10. So ebay isn't really necessary to save money.

It is about a 30 min. repair job if you want to fool with it. My son came home from college with the same problem and he had taken the horn fuse out. The only thing wrong with that is that the brake lights will not work with the horn fuse out. If you are cheap (like me) then you can pull apart the horn thingy and use a stiff brush to remove all the old foam. I used some weather stripping foam I had lying around and made a new foam pad. About 30 minutes, tops, to do it.

Works like a charm.
