Ok I done a search on this but no real anwsers,I just replaced the battery and alternator with new ones, but heres the catch My charge light stays on when the alternator belt is tightened,ok but when I take some pressure off the belt the light goes out but you can here the belt squeel ever now and then mostly on a pull, I've checked all the wireing and even had the amps checked,the alterntor is putting out 65 amps.The car starts up fine, the only thing I'ved noticed is when night drivening is after A few minutes the lights and things get brighter. but no problem starting up or anything just the charge light flashes any soulotions ........

Try another alternator the regulator built in could be bad or you could have a short in your system

Sorry I failed to post Back on this one I got it fixed, The harness On the back of the alternator wasnt pushed all the way in, It was push in just enough to make connection but when the car was started the engine would jar it loose enough to drain the battery, I just happen to check all the wires and that litttle harness was just stuck in the hole and not pushed all the way in until it clicked.I just pushed it in and that did it THANKS
