A/C Fan Problem

My friend's 92 Protege has this new problem where when the heater-A/C fan is on the lowest setting, the A/C light on the A/C button comes on and the compressor engages, but the fan doesn't seem to work.

The compressor disengages and the A/C light goes out on any of the other fan settings.

I haven't done any troubleshooting or even looked at a wiring diagram so I don't know if it's the fan or the switch or what, but I just thought that I would throw it out here and see if anyone thought that it sounded familiar.

If you've experienced this, let me know what you found out.

Thanks everyone.

robux1 is on a distinguished road
I know of about 3 relays that could be bad. Check up on them

Took a look at the car, and while I was wondering if the fasteners that hold the black plastic cover over the heater fan under the dash on the passenger's side needed a philips screwdriver or just a pair of longnose pliers to pull them out with, I noticed a connector on the end of a cable dangling.

So I plugged it back in, and everything works.
