Cool Buying a black pro

I just talked to my aunt and she said she will sell me her 1st gen black pro for $1k!!

Couple years ago she bought that same pro from my cousin who sold it to her for $2k cheap, because they are family. So now she is droping the price 1/2 to sell it to me. Thats cool.

Well, when my cousin had it I remember talking to him about how he always drove around 130MPH in on the freeways and how it can do burn outs in 2nd gear. He told me thats its very fast, and has a twin cam engine. Its a 92 protege lx, so it has all the good stuff like sun roof, and power everything. Another good thing is that it's BLACK, and I love black cars.

Now I have to save up that $1k fast!!

Ummm... it does have a twin cam engine. But burning out in 2nd? Burning the clutch maybe. And 130 is seriously pushing it. Even if your cousin is just exaggerating, are you sure you really want to buy a car from someone who's been beating on it like that?

No, he just "tested" it. How could someone drive 130MPH daily on the streets?

No way you can, at least where I live.

My aunt has driven it for 2 years after him, and she doesnt drive like that at all. She said it runs good. Plus she did get a new clutch right when she bought it from him because it needed one.

Plus I have many plans for it including lightened flywheel with performance clutch, and of course the BPT engine. What I really wanted was a protege LX for cheap because I was going to change basically the whole drive train of the car, and put zx2 suspension on. To me it doesnt matter how bad the engine is right now, I just want all those cool stuff that the LX has that the DX doesnt like power windows, power doors, power sunroof, etc.(you know how much better the lx is than the dx)
