Bad news from home!!

Hi guys!! I'm in St. Louis on a business trip, hope to get home soon. The wife called me the other day, and kid #2 wrecked the LX(F*&K!!!). At least he's ok. Came home crying cos he's only been driving 4-5 months and thought he knew it all.
I'm not done, keep reading:-p!! Kid #1 has had his DX for 3 weeks, burned up the clutch already......
I guess I've got some work ahead when i get home!!

Hey, we all did it. We grew up wrecking the old man's car.
I am one of 4 boys, we each killed a car that dad had provided.
I now have 3 sons of my own and a great excuse to indulge in my automotive passion. I'm expecting **** to happen, as long as they don't get hurt. Bring it on!!!

Want to teach them how much they DON'T know about driving? Take them to an autocross. It's an incredibly humbling experience, especially if you have someone that knows what they are doing drive their cars (so you take the car out of the excuse pool).

That was the worst phone call to make. I got rear ended in my Stepfather's car (totaled). No injuries.

Hey Guys, thanks for all the kind words!!
I just got back home tonight, spent all day either in an airport or on a plane, and had to come home and start fixing cars.....
The LX isn't so bad after all. I have to replace the hood, bumper, grille, and left signal. The headlights look to be ok. Hopefully, the front support will be repairable, if there is even one on the car...

TXprotege, thanks for being on the lookout. I'm going to a yard where I bought a front end, and see if I can get the headlights.

Here's the deal so far; bought a bumper, grille, headlight fillers, and left signal for $100. The problem is, they are black and the car is the blue/green color.
While looking for a hood, I later came across (of course) the correct colored car, got the bumper, hood(needs work), grille, and fillers for $100(COOL!!) (years ago, I got busted street racing with the guy running this yard, so it was a surprise to walk in and see him standing there, I got 5 tickets out of it-$400 in fines)
I know the guy that owns the junkyard where I got the black painted stuff, so I'm going to try and trade him back the body parts for the headlights. Wish me luck.
