just wanted to say hi and introduce myself... ive only owned my 93 protege lx for less than a week, but im interested in learning almost everything there is to know about it, along with the particular quirks of tuning these cars (such as that big crappy MAF blockin my intake... lol..) so far it has pacesetter header and muffler (i know, i know, theyre comin OFF!!!), full custom CRUSH-bent 2 1/2" exhaust piping, no cat (again, goin bye-bye when its boostin time...), my full system in it, ngk plugs, and motegi 16x7 mr-15s.. i have yet to install arospeed drilled/slotted rotors for the front (wish i had both front and rears...), and green stuff front pads.
ps - how do i post pics here?

wow!! thanx for the great response!! nothin like when i had my bmw and joined dtmpower.net... 80k members, and NO response to my new member thread. lol... here are a couple of pics of my car from the other site that i frequent (not a car-specific forum, just a bunch of us here from central illinois that all meet and talk about mostly everyday stuff, we have meets every now n then, etc... about the maf/vaf, im still learnin about this stuff, but i do have an extra one, it came off of an rx7, not sure the year/model tho, and that one at least has a different end bolted onto the right side of it (if ur lookin at it installed) to where i can put a cone filter on it, so ill be throwin that on there soon, to hopefully get a lil more power out of it until i go forced induction... ive only got the two pics of it so far, but im really lovin this car. still the stock suspension, but thatll change as soon as i race it at two events and am able to get my mazdaspeed parts at cost... and even wit the stock stuff, it handles GREAT!! the rims/tires account for that a lot i think tho. once again, thanx a lot for the big welcome, and also, happy b-day cablemirc.

also i notice that some of u have avatars, and have changed the wording under ur name... this site uses the vb bulletin software, just like the other one i go to, but the options arent in the same place. is that just somethin open to mods/admins? or only after a certain amount of time? thanx again

new pads installed....
pass side all put together...
back on the ground.....
the prob is that there is bout 1/2-3/8" of pad PAST the edge of the rotor... the dude i bought the car from musta bought the wrong ones... which means goin and gettin the stock rotors turned so i can throw them back on.... damn, and they look so good too.
