RX7 Turbo II calipers on 323 ??

I wonder if it is possible to swap out the front calipers from my 1994 323 in favor of a set of dual-piston calipers from an RX7 Turbo II ??? Is this possible ?? I am running on 17" MOMO wheels so clearance is not a problem but can this be done ?? Please help !!

Check out my ride on page 6. I custom modified my 1989 pro to fit a RX-7 FC model 4-piston caliper to the front. I'm only using 16".

I'm not 100% but believe that the hubs on a turbo II are 5 bolt so if you need to get the rotors too then you'll have to change to 5 lug hubs, or find a set of rotors that are the right size but 4 lug.

Well... I think the idea is not to mess with the hubs but instead, find an aftermarket rotor in a 4x100 (4-bolt) configuration that has the correct diameter for the RX7 calipers ... This is probably not the hard part of the project ... What really concerns me is mounting the calipers on the hubs ... will the mount-points match or will I need some kind of fabricated solution ?!??!! I think that once this is solved, it is a matter of connecting/bleeding the brake lines, installing pads and bolting everything back up ... Then again, this is my wishfull thinking

You will probably need a larger MasterCylinder too, Cause the volume of the 4 piston calipers. and maybe an adjustable metering block. But It should be really simple.

I had looked at this befor but where and how the calipers mount on both cars is different and didn't want to spend the time converting- I guess I am just too lazy

If one insists on using the 5 bolt rotors, get a machinist and drill 4 holes onto it. That's what I did. I used a 5 bolt Honda Odyssey rotors and drill 4x100 bolt pattern on it. I also slotted the rotor. No problem on that area.

Yes and no to the larger master cylinder cause the stock Pro master cylinder will do the job. On the other hand, a friend of mine used the FD model RX-7 master cylinder. During the installation, he had to remove the intake manifold due to the FD master cylinder's size. He use back the piston valve with the reservoir on top.

What I can tell you is that an experienced machinist did the mod for me. He understood about the safety concerns of the owner. Thus his work is not to be revealed. Sorry though. Plus I don't know what he did. I was on business trip, left the car with my mechanic, and he asked the machinist to do it. When I returned, everything was done and ready to go.
