New Suspension? KL-ZE swap

Ok, i'm gonna go up to A-spec here in about a month and have them throw the KL-ZE into my protege. I'm kinda upset because i just ordered new struts and coilovers, and come to find out they're gonna rip out the front suspension. 'cuz they just throw the subframe of the MX-6 on the car. So i'm wondering if there is any way ill still be able to use the struts, or at least the coilovers.
I dont think im gonna get my hopes up tho. Thanks.

Are you from A-Spec? 'cuz i've sent you guys a couple of e-mails and no one is answering them. I guess i'm gonna have to call, but i was in a car accident and am getting an $11,000 insurance settlement between me and my g/f. Of course after the chiropractor and lawyers fees we're only getting 3 grand, but just enough to do the swap YIPPIE! I'll probably be heading up there in 2-4 weeks if the timing is good with you guys. About how long is it going to take? So does any one know how to get a hold of A-Spec (naybe i'm sending to the wrong e-mail......i'll double check). Well no one knows........can i use my coilovers?????
Oh and it's a '90 SE.

I tried to email A-spec once, but I got a return email thingy, and it said that the email wasn't valid

Well i got my coilovers today and there was a sheet of paper showing every car that they work with.........and a MX-6 was one of them boy i didn't realize that they were a "universal" type thing
and all of the people that i called that didn't have them geesh.
But YES they will work. I guess it varies with different coilovers.
Well not going to A-Spec instead were buying my g/f a Mercury Cougar it's pretty nice. I will be able to install an exhaust, intake, and the new combat kit, if corksport hurries up and starts selling it. I don't wanna order it from new zealand. prob be cheaper just waiting and getting it as a kit. I will be getting my KL-ZE tho ( i have another ins. settlement i'm gonna try and settle without a lawyer but if they dick me around i guess i'll just have to bend over........i've been waiting about 8 months for this one that i'm getting well later

I'm not to sure i ordered them out of a magazine. They are cheap'os though. Is there a diff. between cheaper coilovers and the ground control coilovers? You're right and if i was still gonna go i would've called 'cuz to drive 1300 miles for them to tell me they cant do it right now would really suck.

yes there's a difference. the ground control coilovers come with eibach springs, the "cheaper" coilovers don't.

eibach lowering springs but not the eibach springs from the ground control coilovers. the eibach lowering springs are different from the eibachs that come w/ the GC coilovers kit. check the GC Coilovers Thread for more info.

It sounds like you'd be able to order any spring you want...

/edit: in the 2.5" ID, with the spring rate you want. I didn't mean including ones actually made for the protege...

yeah, if they're the 2.5" diameter, i don't see why they wouldn't work. sorry, i thought you meant you just wanted the throw the eibach springs from the GC coilover kit on your car w/o the use of your current coilover kit.
