correct rim size

alrighty heres the deal..
i have a 1993 protege lowered 2" with sprint springs, i had a set of 17s with +38 offset and 215 series rubber but those rubbed an insane amount. What size offset should i get in the 17" rims and i'm guessing 205 series rubber?
would rolling my fenders help?

your 17's and offset are fine. the 215 tires are killing you.
Let me guess (99% sure), the tires are rubbing the rear fender well lip. Just roll the lip in, use a old baseball bat and to it, you dont have to do the entire length of the fender lip.
or just put 204/40-17 on it.
different tire manufactures with same size tire sit differently, ie a Sumitomo tire sits rounded on the edges vs. a Nitto which sits more square.

i'm gunna have a drop of 2" with the sprint springs in a few dayz tho...so will i be able to fit 17s still?? and what would be the ideal offset and tire for this, or if need be would i have to drop to 16s??
and what is this using a baseball bat to roll my fenders??

dude you can run 18's with that drop. u stressing urself out over this. 38-42mm offset is cool, roll the fenders.
If you cut the spring seats off the struts, and run coil overs, you can stick 19's on the car, with about 1.5 drop.

u pmed me on it, chk my reply.
