We are talking about the automatic here not the manual and the first gen of protege. Don't start writing in a post if you did not read every message there was on the subject.

Atila didn't make it clear what he was talking about, and it looked like itzkcatz thought he was talking about -all- the transmissions that are in the first gen, including the G series box.

itzkcatz: I figured jesse would have corrected you on this... torque kills trannies, not hp, and I don't know where you got 300hp from. What I read a long time ago was 350lb-ft was the limit. Unless its a purely race car, I don't see why this is a problem. No reason for that much power in a FWD protege.

Im not sure when the tranny will pop but its suppose to be 300. If its 350 thats even better . Hell theres no need for that much power in any car but its damn fun to have ...Jon
